A Walk in the Dark

There was no noise. Frozen rain pelted a girl, who without the pocket knife and her knowledge of tae-kwon-dou would have been an easy target. She looked up, the icy rain pelted her and stung every inch of exposed skin. Midnight; a glorious time to walk home. A car sped by her, drenching the girl in water. looking up, she mumbled "Luna, what were you thinking?" She could have waited at her friends house and played video games longer. Luna could have waited for her mother, or atleast put her khaki-colored shoes on correctly. It pierced her skin through her socks. The frosty droplets covered her glasses; obsucring Luna's vision. She sighed and pulled the hood of her red jacket over her head. "Only someone as smart as you would walk home in this shit."  laughed Clyde, her imaginary friend. Navigating by instinct alone was esier than she made it seem. Luna knew this neighborhood like the back of her hand.
